If you've already completed our beginners' course Filming on your Smartphone, this workshop is the perfect next step. Once you've mastered filming yourself, it's time to explore the art of capturing other people's stories.
Join us for a transformative day of learning, inspiration, and skill-building. Whether you're an aspiring filmmaker or a enthusiast, this workshop will empower you to create an impactful and memorable films that resonate with audiences.
During this intensive session, you'll delve into essential techniques to draw out the best from your interviewees, asking the right questions, and confidently directing the shoot. We'll explore storytelling and story development, bolstering your confidence in recording audio, mastering the art of questioning, covering shots effectively, and optimising your skills to the next level.
But this workshop isn't just about theory – it's about hands-on practice. Throughout the day, you'll immerse yourself in practical filming tasks, putting your newfound knowledge into action. In groups and pair we will film and will reciew/discuss the footage, providing valuable feedback and insights to help you evolve as a filmmaker.
As a bonus, participants who complete a film within one month of the workshop will receive a two-hour group feedback session, ensuring you have the support you need to refine your skills and craft compelling stories.
